KUET Announces Admission Schedule for 2024-25 Academic Year
Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) will conduct the admission test for the 2024-25 academic year on January 11, 2024. The examination will be held for BSc Engineering, BURP, and B.Arch courses, with the general test scheduled from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by the freehand drawing test for B.Arch aspirants from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM.
Shahaduzzaman Sheikh, Section Officer of KUET’s Public Relations and Information Office, confirmed that 1,065 seats across 16 departments under the faculties of Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering will be available. A maximum of 20,000 candidates will be allowed to participate. Online applications will be open from December 4 to December 14, with fees to be submitted by December 15.
The three-hour admission test, worth 500 marks, will be in an MCQ format. Additionally, B.Arch candidates must sit for a one-hour freehand drawing test worth 100 marks.
Professor Dr. Rafiqul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, has been appointed as Chairperson of the Admission Committee. This decision was finalized during the 105th and 106th Academic Council meetings held on October 23 and November 14, respectively.
The seats for the 2024-25 academic year are distributed as follows: Civil Engineering (120), Electrical and Electronic Engineering (120), Mechanical Engineering (120), Computer Science and Engineering (120), Electronics and Communication Engineering (60), Industrial Engineering and Management (60), Leather Engineering (60), Textile Engineering (60), Urban and Regional Planning (60), Building Engineering and Construction Management (60), Biomedical Engineering (30), Architecture (40), Materials Science and Engineering (60), Energy Science and Engineering (30), Chemical Engineering (30), Mechatronics Engineering (30), and 5 reserved seats for indigenous and Chittagong Hill Tracts students.
